Enkindle 111 – 06.19.22 – Yes and Amen!

In this reflection for The Feast of Corpus Christi 2022, Adam Novotny inspires us consider the Mass differently this Sunday as we recognize the presence of the body of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Let’s really think about Corpus Christi, the body of Christ when we walk into the church and make the sign of the cross, saying: in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Let’s think about Jesus and his body, which hung on the cross, and which is then offered to us as a gift in the Eucharist. Then as we walk forward up to the Eucharistic minister, they will say “Corpus Christi”, meaning, this is the body of Christ. The body of Christ. And as we say “Amen”, let’s say it a little louder, and let it resound in our hearts. Yes. And amen!
