Enkindle 125 – 09.25.22 – Made for Heaven

In this reflection for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Fr. Erik Arnold shows how the story of Lazarus teaches us that it’s a gift and a choice to have eternal life with Jesus.

We take nothing with us when we die, except the history of how well or how poorly we’ve loved God and neighbor. Everything else stays behind. In the gospel this Sunday, Jesus teaches us a powerful parable about two men who end up in very different places after they die. Jesus wants us to have a living loving relationship with him now, and to be with him for all eternity.
